Equality for heterosexual couples: where do we stand?

While among couples with children, domestic work is increasingly shared between women and men, a study published in April 2025 in Gender & Society reminds us that even today, in Switzerland, it's women who mainly perform this unpaid work. Men, on the other hand, still generally play the role of breadwinner.
