The serial killer's victims were children

In the 70s and 80s, a paedophile serial killer ran rampant on several occasions in the cantons of Basel-Landschaft, Zurich, Aargau and Solothurn. He often abducted his young victims at village festivals, before abusing them and then strangling them.
